Jarvis was one of several butlers, valets, and manservants who worked for Diet Smith. He was bald, with short dark hair hair on the side of his head, and slightly heavyset.
Jarvis' tasks included preparing Smith's meals, arranging his transportation, and co-ordinating much of his correspondence.
